Objective
Recent development in remote sensing technology enhanced the exponential growth of remotely sensed image data. Thus, a huge volume of geospatial data comes from various domains such as agriculture, medical, educational sourceswater source and Road network. The increased volume, variability and velocity of the data makes it difficult to store and process using relational databases. Technological advancements in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and cloud computing have facilitated data sharing through different framework. The proposed research work presents efficient methodologies to store and access geospatial data using various tool in different environment. This supports indexing and management of large-scale queries in an efficient manner
The research work explores various challenges relating to security aspects of the Remote sensing data. Different techniquesfind to be the most appropriate technique for an efficient storage and management of Remote sensing data.

Keywords: Remote Sensing Data, GIS, Cloud computing, Indexing.
